CASA VEGSO

Casa Vegso is AVDA's residential program that includes emergency shelter and transitional housing program.

  • Emergency Shelter – Safety and Support Services are provided to residents in our shelter that is staffed and operates 24-hours a day, everyday of the year. Domestic violence victims and their children stay an average of six to eight weeks in a safe environment while receiving advocacy and case management services. Comprehensive case management assists residents in living violence-free lives and obtaining economic self-sufficiency. They are provided food, clothing, transportation, basic need items, information and referrals, and continuous safety planning assistance.
  • Transitional Housing - provides domestic abuse survivors and their children a place to live for up to two years. This gives survivors time to transition from homelessness to economic independence while receiving encouragement and other services as needed, such as life-skills training and legal advocacy.
